When it comes to treating acne, I think every one of us have done everything humanly possible to battle this type of skin disease. Acne treatment is the only way, and we have no doubt about that. But how could we possibly treat this better and prevent it from becoming worse?
At the beginning of acne, of course it will still be a mild case and a simple skin care regimen at home should do. Cleaning your skin, washing away dirt and by using an acne-specific or pH-balanced soap to impede it from ramping up usually do the trick.
But, if the first application will not make it better, then we can consider using a topical acne treatment; those products available over the counter at drugstores and beauty stores. Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide are the two tested ingredients effective in controlling acne that is generally found in these acne products.
If irritation still occurs, blemishes are not clearing up, and breakout activities are worsening, it is time to seek advice from an expert doctor to help you with your acne problem.
